Thomas Hinrichs

Thomas Hinrichs has extensive experience in various roles within the manufacturing industry. Thomas began their career at Monsanto as a Manufacturing Supervisor and Team Leader, where they gained experience in operations, maintenance, capital improvement projects, warehousing, and shipping. Thomas also successfully negotiated two union contract negotiations during their time there. Thomas then moved on to Ascend Performance Materials, where they served as a Nylon Polymer, Industrial Yarn, and Quality Manager. Thomas excelled in new product development, batch and continuous rate improvement, and the use of statistical tools. Thomas was also involved in capital projects, including the installation of additional batch autoclave reactors and new pelletizers. Currently, Thomas is the Director of Operations at Toray Carbon Fibers America, Inc. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the production for the entire site of the grassroots Toray Carbon Fiber Plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This project involves a significant investment and utilizes state-of-the-art Toray Technology.

Thomas Hinrichs has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Thomas also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of South Carolina. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
