Simon Schaefer

Simon Schaefer is an experienced software engineer currently working at Torc Robotics as an Autonomy Software Engineer, focusing on planning and policy generation for self-driving trucks. Prior experience includes a decade at IBM, where Simon served as an IT Consultant in Cloud and Automation, and contributed to various projects in Blockchain. Additionally, Simon completed a master's thesis at Bosch on multi-robot planning algorithms and led a team at KA-RaceIng e.V. in developing software for an autonomous race car, achieving notable placements in the Formula Student competitions. Simon holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University.
