Christian Schnedler

Christian Schnedler brings Torch.AI and its customers broad experience solving some of the most difficult technical challenges in data fusion and contextualization by building and leading innovative high-tech firms.

Christian is a Principal at WestCap Management, LLC where he spearheads the firm’s Cyber practice. Christian’s career spans leadership roles in government service and the private sector. Prior to joining WestCap, Christian led IDEMIA’s federal growth strategy as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development of its National Security Solutions subsidiary.

Christian previously served as IBM’s Smarter Planet Public Safety Practice Leader for the Middle East & Africa region. He is also the founder of multiple start-ups in the digital marketing and media space, including the /DRIVE and APEX:ONE automotive enthusiast brands. Christian served the New York Police Department as its Director of Strategic Technology Programs and de facto Chief Data Officer under the leadership of Police Commissioners William Bratton and James P. O’Neill. He was previously a technology consultant for the NYPD’s Counterterrorism Bureau under Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly where he helped architect the NYPD’s Domain Awareness System. He is a recognized subject matter expert in human systems integration and situational awareness.

Christian holds a Master’s of Engineering and Bachelor’s of Science from Stevens Institute of Technology, as well as the CISSP®, CSEP®, PMP®, and PSP® professional accreditations.
