MG (Ret) Perrin brings decades of experience to Torch.AI having served and supported our military intelligence mission at the Pentagon to active combat theaters. He will enable us to continue to develop our technology with an absolute focus on supporting our war fighters.
MG (Ret) Perrin is currently the Senior Retired Officer (SRO) for Intelligence for Crisis Management and Combined Command Post Training (CCPT) for US Forces Korea (USFK). An all-source intelligence and aerial reconnaissance professional, MG (Ret) Perrin retired from the US Army in July 2014. He served his final active-duty assignment as Deputy Director, Signals Intelligence Directorate at the National Security Agency (NSA), responsible for Signals Intelligence support of globally deployed combat forces, Theater Combatant Commands, the Services, and interagency partners.
MG (Ret) Perrin served as the Senior Intelligence Officer (J2) for US Forces Iraq (USFI) for the end of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM (OIF), and for all of OPERATION NEW DAWN (OND). During this 17-month deployment, MG (Ret) Perrin provided all-source intelligence support to combined US-Iraqi operations, while planning, coordinating, rehearsing, and executing intelligence support to the full-spectrum operational maneuver of all US combat forces out of Iraq by the end of December 2011.
Additionally, MG (Ret) Perrin served as J2 and Deputy C2 for US Forces Korea (USFK) and Combined Forces Command (CFC); G2, United States Army Pacific (USARPAC); J2, Joint Task Force Homeland Defense, Fort Shafter, HI; Commander of the Army’s Pacific Theater Intelligence Brigade based at Camp Zama, Japan; Director of the Army’s Quadrennial Defense Review Office (QDRO), Director of the Joint Reconnaissance Center (JRC) for US Southern Command; and Commander of the Army’s Central and South America focused Aerial Reconnaissance Battalion, personally flying signals intelligence and imagery aerial reconnaissance missions in support of counterinsurgency and counterdrug operations. MG (Ret) Perrin is a survivor of the 911 terrorist attack on the Pentagon.
He is a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from Old Dominion University, the National Intelligence Superior Service Medal from the Director of National Intelligence, and The Order of National Security Merit Chenosu Medal from the President of the Republic of Korea. He earned a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University, a MS in Administration from Central Michigan University, and a MS in National Security Strategy from the National War College.
