Dana Sevcik

Dana Sevcik has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 2017. In 2021, they began working as a Technical Lead and Software Engineer at Torch Technology. In 2020, they worked as a Software Engineer at Hunterz.io, where they built a comprehensive admin dashboard with efficient search mechanisms and data visualizations for thousands of platform users. Dana also led a frontend refactor with a focus on DRY, scalable code while prioritizing and optimizing time-to-market. In 2019, they were a Software Engineering Instructor at Flatiron School, where they delivered and critiqued lectures on core program material and coached students on debugging code, project scoping, domain modeling, and meeting project deliverables. Dana also took on the role of Software Engineering Student at Flatiron School. In 2017, they worked as an Insurance Underwriter at AIG, where they analyzed and priced hundreds of unique casualty risks of potential insureds using rating models for senior management.

Dana Sevcik holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Entrepreneurship from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dana has also completed a Computer Software Engineering course from the Flatiron School. Additionally, Dana Sevcik has completed a Study Abroad program at Tel Aviv University.
