Mark Thomas

Mark Thomas currently holds the position of Deputy Chief Officer Highways, Transport & Climate Change at Torfaen County Borough Council, a role commenced in October 2022. Prior to this, Mark served as Group Leader for Transport Infrastructure at City & County of Swansea from June 2006 to October 2022, where responsibilities included traffic management, highway network management, urban traffic control, and various aspects of highway design and road safety engineering. Mark's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Glamorgan, completed between 1989 and 1993, following education at Pencoed Comprehensive School from 1981 to 1988.
