Richard Edmunds

Richard Edmunds has extensive work experience in local government. Richard served as the Corporate Director of Education and Corporate Services at Caerphilly County Borough Council starting in July 2018. Prior to this, they held various positions at Torfaen CBC, including Head of Strategic, Democratic and Customer Services since January 2014. In this role, they led the ambitious T22 Transformation Programme and managed over 220 staff. Before joining Torfaen CBC, Richard was the Head of Strategic and Democratic Services at Torfaen County Borough Council from 2005 to 2012, where they were also appointed as the Statutory Officer 'Head of Democratic Services'. Richard had additional roles as the Head of Business Improvement and the Head of Information Strategy, where they led teams responsible for driving organizational change and implementing digital solutions.

Richard Edmunds earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Wales Newport. Richard attended the university from 2005 to 2008.
