Rasha Awwad

Rasha Awwad has a diverse range of work experience. Rasha started working at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2014, where they held positions as a Graduate Assistant and a Higher Education Fellow. Rasha also worked as a Senior Program Coordinator for the RIT Future Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs Program. In 2013, Rasha co-founded Graphic Jargon and served as the Co-Founder of Operations until 2015.

From 2015 to 2018, Rasha worked at Amplicare, where they were initially an Office Manager before transitioning to the role of HR Manager. During their time there, they developed various systems related to office management and human resources and played a key role in creating company culture.

In 2018, they joined Anderson Frank as a NetSuite Recruitment Consultant before moving on to Staffbase in 2019. At Staffbase, Rasha served as an Office and People Experience Manager, and later became a People Experience Business Partner.

Rasha's most recent position is with Torii, a fast-growing SaaS Management startup. Rasha has held the roles of People Experience Manager, NA, and currently serves as the Director of People & Culture.

Rasha Awwad's education history begins in 2009 when they enrolled at Rochester Institute of Technology. Rasha completed their undergraduate studies in 2013 and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree. During their undergraduate years, Rasha studied Health Science, Exercise Science, Criminal Justice, and Women & Gender Studies.

Following their undergraduate studies, Rasha Awwad pursued a Master's degree at Rochester Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2015. Their Master's degree was in Professional Studies with concentrations in Business Management and Health Systems Administration.

In addition to their formal education, Rasha Awwad obtained several certifications. These include certifications in Culture-First Leadership, Leading Teams, Leading the Organization, and Leading Self, which were obtained from Trailblaze Partners in 2021. In 2020, they completed a course in Organizational Learning and Development through LinkedIn Learning.

Rasha also holds certifications related to cybersecurity, including Cybersecurity and the X-Factor, Cybersecurity and the Internet of Things, and Cybersecurity and Mobility, which were obtained through Coursera in 2017. Rasha further obtained a Six Sigma White Belt in Leadership from the Rochester Leadership Institute (RIT) in 2014.

Furthermore, Rasha Awwad completed Reiki I and Reiki II - Usui System of Natural Healing in 2020, facilitated by Kari Buzewski, RMT - Energy Work NYC. Lastly, they underwent HIPAA Security Training - Business Associate in 2017, although the institution providing this training is not specified.
