Aliya Kassam

Aliya Kassam is an experienced educator currently serving as a Grade 9 English Teacher for Summer School at the Toronto District School Board since September 2023. Aliya has held multiple teaching roles, including Grade 7/8 Teacher and Grade 8 Teacher in various long-term positions at the same school board from November 2022 to June 2023 and in earlier assignments. Prior experience includes a Grade 3 Teacher position at the Waterloo Region District School Board, focusing on distance learning, as well as roles in coordination and event management at educational institutions such as Lakehead University and George Brown College. Aliya holds a Bachelor of Education from York University and has advanced degrees in Sociology from Queen's University.
