Hani Taki

Hani Taki is a seasoned leader in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of Distribution Operations & Grid Modernization at Toronto Hydro since September 2011. Taki's extensive experience includes oversight of emergency field response, outage planning, and operational technology. Previous roles at Toronto Hydro encompass leadership positions in control centre operations, capacity planning, investment planning, and standards development, demonstrating a strong focus on grid innovation and decarbonization. Taki has played a pivotal role in significant projects and initiatives, including the establishment of Non-Wires Alternatives teams and contributions to various rate application hearings. With advanced degrees from institutions such as the University of Waterloo and the University of Toronto, alongside board governance and financial excellence training, Taki combines technical expertise with strategic leadership.
