Lei Bai

Lei Bai is an experienced data scientist currently employed at the Toronto Police Service since March 2020. Prior to this role, Lei served as a Business Intelligence Engineer at Amazon from April 2017 to November 2019, where responsibilities included improving supply chain technology through statistical analysis and data modeling. Lei's prior experience also includes a position as a Data Scientist at Xplornet Communications, focusing on quantitative analysis and innovative data solutions from January 2015 to March 2017, as well as an internship as a Data Science Consultant at Quantum Data Science. Earlier academic roles included postdoctoral fellowships and research positions at institutions such as the University of Toronto and the Carnegie Institution for Science. Lei holds a Master's degree in Statistics from the University of Toronto and a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Arizona.
