Renan Peixoto

Renan Peixoto is a software engineer at Torre. Renan was previously a product designer and front-end engineer at Itera - Inovação e Desenvolvimento Tecnológico from August 2017 to March 2019. At Itera, they helped the team adopt a more user-driven approach and establish processes that take User Experience into account. Renan also facilitated Agile adoption and monitored the development progress throughout each Sprint. Renan coordinated and collaborated with the development of reusable UI components. Renan also designed software products for different domains in accordance with the customers' needs and core principles of UX/UI Design. Renan refined and validated product and business requirements for a better understanding of users' tasks and workflows.

Before Itera, Renan Peixoto was a researcher in data provenance visualization and software traceability at the Provenance and Traceability Research Group, UW Bothell from December 2015 to September 2016. Renan's research focused on investigating provenance in software evolution, software artifacts, and management tasks. Renan designed and developed a Java classification-based solution for explicitly extracting, connecting, and visualizing links between software metadata, code changes, and reasons for changes. Renan also developed a graph-based visualization tool that connects refactoring patterns to software changes in different levels of granularity. Renan generated research reports and publications describing design decisions, project portrayals, applicable constraints, and results.
