Sebastián has held various titles at Torresol Energy Investments and has worked on optimizing operations at the Planta Termosolar GEMASOLAR. Prior to this, Sebastián was an engineer at GRANDE, Grupo Andaluz de Estudios, S.L., where Sebastián focused on designing and implementing biomass fuel preparation plants and high-performance combustion chambers. Torresol Energy, alianza de las empresas SENER y Masdar, fue creada con el objetivo de convertirse en líder en el sector de la energía solar por concentración y la misión de promover el desarrollo tecnológico y la explotación de grandes plantas solares por concentración en todo el mundo, especialmente en el sur de Europa, incluida España, norte de África, Oriente Medio, el suroeste de EE UU y América del Sur. The company currently has three solar plants in operation: the 19.9 MW Gemasolar plant with central tower and heliostat field technology located in Fuentes de Andalucia (Seville), and Valle 1 and Valle 2, twin 50 MW installations with parabolic cylinder technology located in San Jose del Valle (Cadiz).
