Stephen Pang

Stephen Pang is the managing director and portfolio manager of Tortoise Capital Advisors. Stephen has over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting.

Pang began their career as a controller at Sun Microsystems in 1991. Stephen was promoted to director of finance and accounting in 2005 and acted as the chief financial officer from 2007 to 2009. In this role, Pang was responsible for the relocation of the finance function and establishing a local finance team in San Jose. Stephen also streamlined the monthly close process and reduced management reporting by one day.

Pang joined Novellus Systems as the director of international finance in 2007. Stephen led the field finance team supporting the executive vice president of worldwide sales and service. Pang achieved financial targets during a rapidly changing marketplace and reduced field headcount by 20-30%.

Pang has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from San Jose State University.

After completing their undergraduate degree in accounting at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Stephen Pang became a certified public accountant in the state of California.
