Jim Robinson

Director Security Applications Engineering at Tortuga Logic

Jim Robinson has held various roles in the engineering and aviation industries since 1990. Jim began their career as a Senior Design and Verification Engineer at Intel, where they designed and verified multiple single board computers. In 1995, they became a Field Applications Engineer at Quickturn Design Systems, providing pre-sales benchmarking, technical sales, and support of Quickturn hardware emulators. From 1997 to 2001, they worked at Synplicity Inc. as Corporate Applications Engineering Manager, managing Technical Support and software QA/Testing. During this time, they also developed and implemented product training and product demonstration programs. In 2001, they were promoted to Director of Corporate Applications (Customer Support) at Synplicity, providing technical support, QA, training, and product demos for FPGA synthesis and application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) prototyping software. In 2005, they were promoted again to Vice President of Corporate Applications Engineering (Customer Support), handling company-wide technical support, QA, training, and product licensing for software and hardware products. In 2008, they moved to Synopsys as Senior Director of FPGA Implementation Tools, developing P&L for the FPGA Synthesis Software product line. From 2012 to 2015, they were Principal at Hillside Aviation, managing operations and employees of a small aviation business. Currently, they are the Director of Security Applications Engineering at Tortuga Logic, Inc.

Jim Robinson has completed an Associate's Degree from Mt. Hood Community College.
