Brett Guenther, P. Tech., has extensive experience in the oil and gas sector, currently serving as an Abandonment HSE Advisor and previously as a Drilling Engineering Technologist at Torxen since August 2018. Prior to this, Brett worked at Cenovus Energy from October 2010 to May 2018, initially as a Wellsite Supervisor, where pivotal roles were played in transitioning drilling engineering to operations and leading successful oil sands programs, and later as a Senior Drilling Technologist, focusing on drilling engineering and planning across various asset areas. Earlier experience includes positions at Schlumberger as a Directional Driller and Measurements/Logging While Drilling Specialist, providing expertise in directional drilling techniques and measurement services. Brett holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology, earned between 2000 and 2003.
