J. Mark Downing

J. Mark Downing has extensive work experience in various management and executive roles. J. Mark started their career as a Bookkeeper at Southeastern Management Center, Inc. in 1989 and then worked as a Director of Training at Rafferty's Inc. from 1990 to 1992. Following that, they joined Deloitte as a Staff Accountant-Audit, specializing in auditing financial institutions and government agencies. In 1993, they became the Controller at Laura's Lean Beef Company, where they oversaw financial statements, budgeting, and personnel responsibilities.

In 1997, Downing transitioned to the role of Vice President of Finance & Administration at Toshiba Business Solutions in the Kentucky marketplace. J. Mark successfully managed various functions during the acquisition of Triple M Business Products. From 2000 to 2008, Downing served as the President of TBS Michigan Marketplace, implementing strategic restructuring that led to solid profitability and ranking as one of the most successful marketplaces in the U.S.

Downing then took on the role of TBS Vice President of Operations in 2008, providing support to all marketplace Presidents in developing and growing the organization. In 2009, they assumed the temporary position of President of TBS CA/NV Marketplace, which became permanent due to their dynamic results. From 2010 to 2012, they served as the TBS Western Region President, managing major marketplaces in California and Nevada and focusing on optimizing operational and financial performance.

Currently, Downing holds the position of Vice President of TBS Operations and Latin America, which they began in January 2021. In this role, they lead and oversees operations and market growth in Latin America while managing TBS operations nationally.
