Dan Best has extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Currently, they hold the position of EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer at Total Quality Logistics, where they focus on creating supply chain efficiencies and providing logistics services. Prior to this, they served as EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer at The Service Companies, where they supported team members across multiple locations.

Dan Best has also worked at AutoNation as Senior Vice President, HR / Field Operations and Support, Vice President, Senior Human Resources Officer (CHRO), and Region Vice President, Human Resources. At AutoNation, they played a crucial role in driving growth and profitability, reorganizing the company's operating structure, and establishing a business partnership model with clear goals and objectives.

Before their time at AutoNation, Dan Best worked at Bloomin' Brands, Inc. as Director, Corporate Human Resources, where they led HR initiatives and implemented a new HRIS system. Dan also gained experience at Walmart, where they held various roles such as Regional Human Resources Senior Manager, Market Human Resources Manager, and Human Resources Manager.

In addition to their corporate experience, Dan Best has contributed to the field of human resources as an Adjunct Human Resources Instructor at Gateway Community & Technical College. Dan also served on the Board of Directors as the HR Certification Chair for the Northern Kentucky Society of Human Resources Management. Furthermore, they have been a member of the Board of Trustees at Cincinnati Works since 2022.

Dan Best completed an Executive Education Program in Advanced Human Resources Executive Program from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 2016. Dan also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Robert Morris University, which they obtained between 1997 and 2001. Additionally, they received a Strategic Leadership Certificate in Leading Management Teams from Cornell University.
