Avis Babalu

Avis Babalu has extensive experience in cultural heritage and community engagement, currently serving as a Senior Cultural Heritage Officer at TotalEnergies since October 2016. Prior roles include Cultural Heritage Officer and Community Liaison Officer within the same organization. Before TotalEnergies, Avis was the Team Leader for Research and Consultancy at the Institute of Business Studies in Papua New Guinea from March 2014 to September 2016, and held positions at ExxonMobil as a Land Technician and Upstream Document Control Lead from June 2011 to January 2014. Avis holds a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Sociology, and Archaeology from the University of Papua New Guinea, obtained between 2006 and 2010, and completed Year 12 with a focus on Biology/Biological Sciences at Port Moresby National High School in 2004-2005.
