Ritu Thomas

Ritu Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Business Development at TotalEnergies in Australia. Prior to this, they served as a Non-Executive Director at Clean Energy Investor Group, where they represented institutional investors and advocated for policy and market design to facilitate clean energy transformation in Australia. Ritu also worked at Total Eren as a Senior Manager in Business Development and Project Finance, and as a Legal and Contracts Manager in the APAC region. Before that, they gained valuable experience as a Projects Lawyer at Baker McKenzie and as a Consultant at NauticAWT Energy Solutions. Ritu's earlier roles include working as a Lawyer at Clean Energy Finance Corporation and as a Consultant for the Geological Survey of Queensland. Ritu also completed an internship in Commercial and Legal at ZeroGen Pty Ltd.

Ritu Thomas completed their education with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Corporate & Commercial Law and International Trade Law from Bond University in 2011. Prior to that, they attended Geelong Grammar School, where they obtained a Victorian Certificate of Education, majoring in Maths Methods, Specialist Maths (Higher Level), English Literature, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. In 2012, they pursued a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law, Australia. Later, Ritu earned a Master of International Economics and Finance degree, first from The University of Queensland in 2015 and then from the University of St.Gallen in 2016.
