Shaffiq Jaffer

Shaffiq Jaffer has extensive experience in the field of chemical engineering, currently serving as VP of Corporate Science and Technology Projects at TotalEnergies since January 2009, where leadership in corporate research initiatives in North America includes active partnerships with universities and government research institutions across Canada and the United States. Prior to this, Jaffer worked at Procter and Gamble as a Mixing Specialist, focusing on process engineering for consumer products. Earlier experience includes a role as Manager of R&D at Koch-Glitsch, leading research on mixing technology, and a foundational period as a graduate student at McMaster University, where Jaffer completed a PhD in Chemical Engineering. Jaffer also holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
