Alexa Knorr

Alexa Knorr has a diverse work experience in the field of pediatric nursing. Alexa started their career in 2013 as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the William F. Ryan Community Health Network, where they provided primary care to infants, children, and teens in a Federally Qualified Community Health center. Alexa also worked as part of a medical team to reduce health disparities in the underserved inner city population.

In 2017, Alexa joined GetzWell Pediatrics as a part-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Here, they provide pediatric healthcare in both home and office settings. Their responsibilities include performing physical exams, interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, administering vaccinations, and making specialty referrals.

Since 2020, Alexa has also worked at TotalWellness as a Flu Vaccine and Health Screening RN. In this role, they travel to various businesses and organizations in Northern California to administer flu vaccines. Additionally, they conduct health screenings, such as blood pressure and BMI measurement, and provides counseling during wellness events.

Throughout their career, Alexa has demonstrated a commitment to holistic and integrative healthcare approaches and has gained expertise in providing personalized high-level counseling to their patients.

Alexa Knorr received their education from Columbia University School of Nursing and Vanderbilt University. From 2006 to 2010, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development, Medicine Health, and Society from Vanderbilt University. Following that, they pursued further nursing education at Columbia University School of Nursing. From 2010 to 2011, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Nursing Science from Columbia University School of Nursing. Alexa then went on to complete their Master's degree in Pediatric Nurse/Nursing from the same institution, from 2011 to 2013.
