Bhavana Kayyar, PhD

Bhavana Kayyar, PhD, is a Molecular Biologist with extensive research experience. They currently work at Touchlight as a Platform Molecular Biologist starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Queen Mary University of London from March 2022 to October 2022.

They also served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research in Bangalore starting in August 2021 and ending in March 2022. Additionally, Bhavana was a Doctoral Student at the same institution from January 2017 to December 2021.

Earlier in their career, Bhavana held the position of an EMBO short term fellow at the University of Essex from October 2019 to February 2020.

Bhavana Kayyar, PhD obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, and Genetics from Jyothi Nivas College in Bangalore, India from 2010 to 2013. Bhavana then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in RNA biology at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research in Bangalore from 2013 to 2016. Subsequently, they continued their education at the same institution and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Biology from 2017 to 2021.
