Tim Yeend

Tim Yeend is a seasoned professional currently serving as the Director at Tourism Australia since December 2024. Tim holds the position of Visiting Fellow at the Institute for International Trade at the University of Adelaide since September 2020. Previously, Tim held the role of Associate Secretary at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade from November 2021 to March 2025 and worked as Principal Adviser and Chief of Staff at the World Trade Organization from September 2013 to March 2025. Tim has also served as Ambassador for the Australian Government from March 2010 to August 2013 and held various roles, including First Assistant Secretary, at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade from January 1997 to March 2010. In addition, Tim worked as an Advisor in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister from 1997 to 1999. Tim holds a Bachelor's degree with Honours in Arts from The Australian National University and an Advanced Professional Diploma in Business Administration and Management from the Financial Times, earned in 2019.
