Jean Barkley

Jean Barkley is currently serving as the Information Governance Officer at Tourism Northern Ireland, where responsibilities include supporting an information governance compliance program as part of a key Digital Transformation Work Programme since October 2021. Previously, Jean held the position of Assistant Assembly Clerk for the Economy and Health Committees at the Northern Ireland Assembly, focusing on briefing notes and stakeholder engagement from October 2020 to October 2021. Jean's extensive experience at Tourism Northern Ireland from 2001 to 2020 encompassed roles such as Policy Development Officer and Corporate Policy Officer, advocating for tourism's economic potential and developing strategic frameworks. Earlier in Jean's career, marketing expertise was gained as a Marketing Executive at the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and as a Direct Marketing Executive at TUI. Jean holds a BA in Business Studies with a specialization in Marketing and Marketing Research from Ulster University.
