Steve Farquer

Steve Farquer currently serves as the Director of Access and Aviation at Tourism Tasmania, a position held since August 2020. Prior to this role, Steve provided consulting services for Qantas Airways Ltd from November 2019 to August 2020. Steve’s extensive experience with Qantas Airways Ltd spans from April 1994 to June 2019, holding multiple general management roles in Tasmania, China, Indonesia, and the Northern Territory. Early in the career, Steve worked in yield management and catering operations at Qantas. Academic qualifications include a Commerce degree in Economics and Law from the University of Melbourne and a High School Certificate in Economics and Accounting from Brunswick High School. Steve has demonstrated a strong ability in building relationships with customers and stakeholders throughout the career.
