Latoya L. Bention has over 18 years of work experience in customer service and insurance sales. Latoya L. began their career in 2003 as a Customer Service Specialist at Travelers, where they handled incoming calls for the Service Center, distributed faxes and mail, and handled small catastrophe property damage claims. In 2010, they became an Insurance Sales Agent at Bankers Life and Casualty. In 2011, they joined Connextions as an Engagement Specialist, where they handled incoming calls for Medicare and Wellness Plans, answered and resolved customer issues, and supervised teams while taking active calls. From 2013 to 2020, Latoya worked at AmerisourceBergen, where they served as a Patient Service Representative, Quality Analyst, and Patient Coordinator. In their roles, they processed applications for medication assistance, reviewed recorded agent calls for the inbound contact center, and verified benefits, claims paid, open funds, and covered medications. In 2020, they joined Lash Group as a Patient Access Specialist, where they handled inbound calls from Patients, Doctor's Offices, and Pharmacies and discussed benefit verification of insurance plans to determine coverage. Latoya L. is currently a Customer Service Team Lead at TOV Furniture.
Latoya L. Bention received their High School Diploma from Monroe High School in 2001. Latoya L. also attended Central Piedmont Community College. In July 2021, they obtained an Insurance Producer certification from the North Carolina Department of Insurance.
