Eugene Reilly

Eugene Reilly has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Eugene has held multiple roles at Reading Hospital, including Interim Medical Director of the Trauma Program and Interim Division Chief of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Tower Health as the Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer since October 2022. Eugene also served as a General Surgeon, Director of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Program, and Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Tower Health. Additionally, they were an Associate Medical Director of the Trauma Program, Acting Chief Medical Information Officer, and Director of Acute Care Informatics. Eugene has also worked as an Associate Professor of Surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine since October 2022. Eugene previously worked as a Trauma Surgeon and Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Fellow at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System. Eugene has also held teaching positions at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Eugene started their career as an Administrative Chief Resident and General Surgery Resident at Abington Memorial Hospital.

Eugene Reilly earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Biology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 1997. Eugene went on to complete their Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Thomas Jefferson University from 1998 to 2002. In 2019 to 2021, they pursued a Master of Healthcare Innovation at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Eugene also obtained several certifications, including Certified Physician Executive (CPE) from the American Association for Physician Leadership®, Neurocritical Care Certification from The American Board of Anesthesiology, Clinical Informatics from the American Board of Preventative Medicine, Epic Physician Builder and Reporting from Epic in 2014, and Epic Physician Builder in 2013. Eugene also received board certifications in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care from the American Board of Surgery in 2009.
