Nicholas Monaco has a diverse background in the healthcare industry. Nicholas started their career as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy and later worked as a Patient Care Assistant/Unit Clerk at St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network. Nicholas then became an RN in the Cardiac Surgical ICU at the same hospital. Nicholas also worked as an RN at Grand View Hospital and Pocono Medical Center in various departments. In 2011, Nicholas joined Easton Hospital as an RN in the MICU/SICU/Open Heart Recovery unit. Nicholas then transitioned to a leadership role as the Director of Progressive Care at Community Health Systems. Nicholas also worked as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Pennsylvania Vascular Institute, providing vascular triaging and ambulatory nursing care. Currently, they are employed as the Lead Nurse Practitioner at Tower Health, where they independently and collaboratively manages inpatient cardiology patients and oversees a team of 16 APPs. Throughout their career, Nicholas has gained experience in managing diverse patient populations, interventional treatment, and leadership responsibilities.
Nicholas Monaco obtained a Master's degree in Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Jefferson Health between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing Science at The University of Texas at Arlington from 2012 to 2014. In 2008 to 2010, Nicholas received their RN degree from St. Luke's School of Nursing. Furthermore, they studied Biology, General at Desales University from 2005 to 2008. Nicholas also holds additional certifications including ACNPC-AG and AGACNP-BC, with a CCRN certification obtained from AACN.
