Wouter van Verre

Wouter van Verre is a Hardware Engineer at Tower Research Capital since July 2023, following a role as a Software Engineer at RISQ where optimisation of a low latency trading platform for the sports betting market was a key focus. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Manchester from June 2016 to May 2022, leading the development of ground-penetrating radar systems for landmine detection. Wouter has also contributed to Antarctic research as an Engineering Specialist and supported undergraduate education as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Widening Participation Fellow at The University of Manchester. Earlier work experience includes an internship at Intel Corporation and a summer internship at the University of Manchester. Wouter holds a PhD and a BEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Manchester, along with a Propedeuse in Physics and Astronomy from Radboud University, and completed VWO with a focus on Nature & Technology at Gymnasium Apeldoorn.
