Francis Rotella

Senior Principal Engineer, Rf/analog Spice Modeling at TowerJazz

Francis Rotella has extensive experience in the field of RF modeling and circuit design. Francis has worked for multiple companies, starting their career as a Senior Engineer at Conexant Systems in 1999. Francis then joined Skyworks Solutions in 1999 as a Principal Engineer, where they led projects on characterization test chips and statistical model library development. In 2005, they joined Fujitsu Laboratories of America as a Member of Research Staff, where they established and managed an RF modeling and RFIC measurement lab. Francis also developed models for transmission lines and passive components. Rotella then moved to Peregrine Semiconductor in 2007, where they held various roles including Technical Director and Manager of Device Modeling. In these roles, they were responsible for device, passive, and package model development for advanced RF CMOS FEM products. Francis worked closely with multiple teams to ensure accurate circuit simulation and integration into Process Design Kits. In 2017, Rotella joined Tower Semiconductor as a Senior Principal Engineer, specializing in RF/Analog SPICE Modeling.

Francis Rotella has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Francis also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering, both from the Florida Institute of Technology.
