Carl Hunt has over a decade of experience in the field of building inspection and code enforcement, currently serving as the Development Services Solutions Manager and Chief Code Enforcement Official (Mechanical/Plumbing) for the Town of Cary since April 2017. Their responsibilities include implementing ESRI Workforce software for field logistics, leading a team of inspectors and plan reviewers, and conducting field inspections for new residential and commercial projects. Prior to this role, Carl served as a Multi-Trade Building Inspector II for the City of Raleigh Municipal Government, where Carl supervised Multi-Trade Inspectors and developed a scheduling notification system. Their career also includes positions as a Building Inspector in the Town of Kill Devil Hills, a Project Manager at Appalachian State University managing capital improvement projects, and a Code Enforcement Intern in the Town of Cornelius. Carl holds Bachelor’s degrees in Geography (GIS) and City Planning from Appalachian State University.
