Chris Prescott

Chris Prescott is an experienced law enforcement professional serving as a Sergeant in Criminal Investigations, Crime Reduction, and Patrol for the Town of Cornelius since October 2015. Known for mentorship and training, Chris focuses on employee retention and career advancement while enforcing laws and conducting criminal investigations. Chris has collaborated with the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office and has earned recognition as Employee of the Quarter in 2018 and the youngest Sergeant promoted in Cornelius. Prior to this role, Chris served as a Master Police Officer and K9 Officer for the City of Newton from June 2013 to September 2015. Educational qualifications include a current pursuit of a Master of Science in Leadership and Management from Western Governors University, a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Liberty University, and an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Mitchell Community College.
