Cara Gately

Cara Gately is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in regulatory compliance and investigations. Currently serving as a Commissioner for the Town of Darien since September 2019, Gately also operates as a Regulatory and Compliance Consultant for CKG Consulting Services. With a longstanding tenure at The Royal Bank of Scotland since March 2012 as Senior Counsel, responsibilities include managing the bank's responses to federal and state investigations and overseeing internal investigative strategies. Gately has held key legal roles in RBS Global Banking & Markets and Greenwich Capital Markets, and served as Senior Counsel in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Gately earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from St. John's University School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Providence College.
