Andras Szonyi

Andras Szonyi has worked as the Director of Building Standards/Chief Building Official for the Town of East Gwillimbury since July 2018. Prior to that, they were a past member of BMEC at the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing from March 2011 to June 2021. Andras also served as the Supervisor of Building Permits/Deputy Chief Building Official for the City of Pickering from an unknown start date to 2018.

Andras Szonyi has obtained a degree in Civil Engineering, along with an EA Certificate, from the University of Waterloo. Additionally, they have earned a Master's Certificate in Public Sector Management from Ontario Tech University and a Building Science Certificate from the University of Toronto.
