Chris Burns

Chris Burns serves as the Deputy Chief Building Official for the Town of East Gwillimbury since June 2021 and has been a member of the Committee of Adjustment for the Town of Georgina since 2008, overseeing decisions on Consent applications and Minor Variances. Previously, Chris held the roles of Supervisor of Plans Examination and Senior Building Inspector at the Town of Richmond Hill from July 1997 to June 2021, and worked as Senior Building Inspector for the Town of Whitchurch Stouffville from May 1990 to July 1997. Additionally, Chris served as Deputy Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus from 2004 to 2012. Educational credentials include an Architectural Technology degree from Centennial College obtained between 1988 and 1990, and a brief program at Ontario Tech University in 2019.
