Manager Of Parks And Open Spaces at Town of Groton

Tabitha Wilson, AICP, LEED AP ND, currently serves as the Manager of Parks and Open Spaces for the Town of Groton since September 2020, overseeing conservation techniques, trailway planning, and open spaces maintenance while managing a crew of eight. Tabitha has previously held roles including Planner II Land Use and Neighborhood & Community Development Planner with responsibilities such as development review and managing housing rehabilitation programs. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of City Planning for the City of New Bedford, and the Director of Planning and Economic Development for the Town of Norton. Additional roles span landscape design at Washashore Landscape Design and expertise in project management for statewide climate resilience at the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance. Tabitha's education includes a Master of Landscape Architecture from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and a dual degree in Graphic Design and Painting from the Hartford Art School.
