Orlando Soto

Deputy Chief Of Police at Town of Knightdale

Orlando Soto has extensive experience in law enforcement. Orlando currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Police for the Town of Knightdale, a position they have held since November 2020. Prior to this, they were the Chief of Police for the Town of Rolesville from June 2017 to November 2020. Orlando also held the role of Police Captain for the Town of Rolesville from May 2015 to June 2017. Before joining the Town of Rolesville, Orlando worked for the Town of Knightdale as a Police Lieutenant from August 2006 to April 2015. Orlando began their law enforcement career as a Police Officer for the Durham City Police Department from August 2005 to August 2006. Orlando also served as a Police Officer for the Duke University Police Department from November 2002 to April 2006.

Orlando Soto's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Administration of Justice from Western Carolina University. Orlando also completed a program in Criminal Justice Technology with a focus on Law Enforcement at Wake Technical Community College. Additionally, they participated in the Administrative Officers Management Program (A.O.M.P.) at North Carolina State University.
