Matt Townsend

Matt Townsend has extensive experience in fire and emergency services, currently serving as Deputy Fire Chief Operations for the Town of Milton since January 1998. Townsend's previous roles include Captain of the Training Division and Captain of Emergency Operations, as well as Firefighter. Prior experience includes working as a Paramedic with Halton Region from June 2000 to September 2013. Educational qualifications include a Fire Service Executive Management Certificate in Public Administration from Humber College (2017-2019), a Diploma in Municipal Administration from the Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario (2012-2017), and a Paramedic degree from Niagara College (1996-1997).
