Michael Harrelson, P.E. is currently serving as the Public Works Commissioner for the Town of Moncks Corner since January 2024. Harrelson has extensive experience in engineering and public service, having retired from Santee Cooper in December 2017, where tenure as an Engineer spanned from July 1981. Additionally, Harrelson served as a Commissioner for the Moncks Corner Public Works Commission from January 1991 to August 2016. Early career experience includes work as an Engineer at B.P. Barber from January 1976 to July 1981. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering earned from Clemson University between 1971 and 1975, following a high school education at Manning High School from 1967 to 1971.
