Town of Mountain Village
Shelby Jongema currently serves as a Shift Crew Leader and Gondola Operator with the Town of Mountain Village since May 2023. Previous experience includes multiple roles at Union College (NE) from August 2019 to May 2023, such as Yearbook Editor, Peer Tutor, Program Coordinator, and Student Worker in Enrollment/Admissions. Shelby has also worked as a Telephone Interviewer for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and completed internships at Centura Health and AdventHealth, where responsibilities included administrative assistance, managing accounts payable processes, and supporting HR projects. Earlier experience includes a Youth Ministry Intern position at Florida Hospital Church, focused on community service projects and communications. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management at Union Adventist University, with an expected graduation date in August 2023.

Town of Mountain Village
Situated in the heart of the breathtaking San Juan Mountains, Mountain Village was incorporated in 1995 as a Home Rule Municipality. Its founders envisioned a European-style ski-in/ski-out, pedestrian-friendly destination resort that would complement the historic mining town of Telluride. A three-stage gondola transportation system connects the Town of Mountain Village with the Town of Telluride. Situated at 9,500 feet, Mountain Village is comparably a world apart from other resorts: it is innately spectacular, beautifully orchestrated and planned, and overflowing with style, charm and sophistication.
