Randy Wells

Randy Wells, EFO, CFO, CEMSO, is an accomplished Fire Chief at the Town of Nags Head, North Carolina, since September 2019. Previously, Randy served as Assistant Fire Chief of Operations at the Columbia Fire Department from November 2016 to September 2019, managing an All-Hazards Fire Rescue service. Prior experience includes a tenure as Assistant Fire Chief at Burton Fire District, where Randy coordinated programs and tasks for subordinate managers, and as an Adjunct Instructor at the Technical College of the Lowcountry, specializing in Emergency Medical Technician courses. Earlier in Randy's career, a role as Medical Training Officer at the Town of Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue involved overseeing EMS training programs. Randy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from Columbia College and two Associate's Degrees, one in Physical Sciences from the University of South Carolina-Beaufort and the other in Emergency Medical Technology from Greenville Technical College.
