The Public Safety and Rescue Team for the Town of Nantucket is responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and visitors through vigilant oversight of the town's beaches and harbor. This team includes lifeguards, surf rescue personnel, and assistant harbormasters who work seasonally to provide immediate assistance in emergencies. The Fire Chief oversees comprehensive emergency response strategies, enhancing community safety on land and at sea.
