Michael Cranson

Michael Cranson has worked as the Fire Chief for the Town of Nantucket since October 2022. Prior to that, they served as Fire Chief for the Portsmouth Fire Department in Rhode Island from July 2012 to June 2018.

Michael Cranson pursued their education at various institutions. Michael obtained their Bachelors degree in Fire Science from Providence College between 1992 and 1995. Later, they attended Roger Williams University and completed a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree between 2014 and 2018. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Science from Providence College. Cranson also pursued further education in the field of Public Administration, obtaining multiple Master of Public Administration (MPA) degrees from Roger Williams University.
