Amy Haelsen

Amy Haelsen has extensive experience in communications, community engagement, and economic development. Currently serving as the Director of Communications & Community Engagement for the Town of Needham, MA since August 2020, Amy previously held the position of Executive Director at Dedham Square Circle from May 2007 to August 2020, where responsibilities included advocating for small businesses and managing community events. Earlier roles at Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island encompassed various positions in communications, including Communications Manager, where Amy developed branding strategies and managed fundraising initiatives. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Journalism from the University of Connecticut.
