Cathy A. Oloffson has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Cathy A. began their career as a news reporter at Illinois State University, where they covered local government beats and wrote feature stories. Cathy A. then transitioned to working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the university, teaching introductory level speech and communications courses.

Following their time at the university, Oloffson joined The Pantagraph as a Market Research Analyst, where they edited publications and managed market surveys. Cathy A. then moved on to COUNTRY Financial® and held various positions, including Manager of Executive/Corporate Communications, Director of Corporate Communications & Learning, Director of Corporate Learning & Development, and Manager of Projects & Executive Communications. In these roles, they led teams, developed communication plans, crafted messaging for executive presentations, and implemented learning strategies.
