Melisa D. is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in victim services, psychology, and mental health. Currently serving as a Victim Services Specialist for the Town of Paradise Valley since December 2022, Melisa focuses on program development for victim services. Previous roles include an Academic Administrative Professional for the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix, and a Psychometrist at Psychological Pathways of Arizona, where assessments for Autism, ADHD, and Alzheimer’s Disorders were conducted. From March 2014 to November 2021, Melisa served as a Community Services Victim Advocate for the Avondale Police Department, providing crucial support and crisis intervention to crime victims. Earlier experience includes case management for adults with dual diagnoses at Choices Network of Arizona and supervisory roles at The New Foundation, along with hands-on behavioral coaching for adolescents. Melisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Arizona and a Master of Science in Psychology from Grand Canyon University, with ongoing pursuit of a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University.
