Jennifer Gundersen

Chief Of Police at Town of South Hadley

Jennifer Gundersen has extensive experience in law enforcement. Jennifer started their career with the Town of Amherst, MA in 1994, serving as a Patrol Officer until 1999. Jennifer then worked their way up through the ranks, becoming a Police Sergeant from 1999 to 2003, a Lieutenant from 2003 to 2009, and finally a Captain in various roles from 2009 to 2019. In January 2019, they transitioned to the role of Chief of Police for the Town of South Hadley.

Jennifer Gundersen completed their education in chronological order. Jennifer obtained their Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Stonehill College, graduating in 1991. Later, in 1997, they pursued a Master's degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Western New England University, which they completed in 1999. Lastly, Jennifer pursued another Master's degree, this time in Public Administration, from Westfield State University and successfully completed it in 2018.
