James Blattler

James Blattler currently serves as the Emergency Services Program Manager for the Town of Truckee, a role commenced in February 2024, after previously holding the position of Emergency Services Coordinator. Prior to this, James Blattler accumulated extensive experience in emergency management with the City of San Luis Obispo from December 2016 to February 2024, progressing from Emergency Manager to various roles within the Fire Department. Earlier experience includes serving as an Assistant Risk Analyst for Alliant Insurance Services and various firefighting and emergency medical roles with CAL FIRE, San Luis Obispo County Fire, and San Luis Ambulance, Inc. James Blattler's career in public safety began with aquatic services at the East Bay Regional Park District, where management responsibilities were held for several years. James Blattler holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on International Business Management and Global Politics from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, attained in 2009.
