Magoon Steven has extensive work experience in various roles related to community development, planning, and administration. Magoon started their career in 1989 as the Planning Director for Charles County, MD, a role they held until 2004. Magoon then served as the CAO for the City of Gloucester, MA from 2004 to 2008. Since 2008, Magoon Steven has been working as the Community Development and Planning Director for the Town of Watertown.
Magoon Steven began their education journey in 1981 at the University of Maryland, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies. Magoon completed their undergraduate studies in 1986. Later on, from 1991 to 1994, Magoon Steven attended the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they obtained a Master of General Administration degree with a focus on State and Local Government.
